Summer 2012

I have been so lax in posting that I now need to update the last couple of months.  Summer is always busy, so here are a few pictures to show what happened this year:

Father's Day in June (of course)

Uncle Lloyd Allen Davis passed away June 7, 2012.

Curt went camping with the Priests at Lake Powell.

Here's a view from Hole in the Rock.

We went to Arizona to visit Andrea's family for two weeks.

Everyone was able to be there this year -- the first time in three years! 

We went to Yellowstone with the Whites . . .

. . . and then gathered with all the McDonalds outside Aspen, Wyoming.

Marielle turned 11.  Her actual birthday was while we were camping,

and she had a friend swimming party once we got home.

The chickens started laying eggs!

Andrea went to the annual Girls Weekend.

 Andrea ran in a 5K with Lori Bulloch -- first race since high school!

 Andrea taught a Cooking Camp for a week.  Marielle attended with some friends.

We made crepes:  chicken and broccoli, fruit and yogurt, pudding and whipped cream . . .

. . . lasagna, salad, breadsticks, trifle . . .  

. . . and breakfast:  granola with fruit and yogurt, breakfast sandwich, and orange julius.

We also barbecued (hamburgers, corn on the cob, homemade french fries, and cookies),

and had a birthday party theme (homemade pizza, homemade ice cream and cake).

 Then we got to go see "Wicked"!  It was a great show -- the girls loved it!

Savannah attended her second year of Girls' Camp, but I haven't seen any pictures yet!

 We've had a busy, crazy summer with lots of fun.

And now (so sad) it's time for school.  Caleb has already been in school two weeks,

and Savannah and Marielle start soon.  Sigh . . .

At least we had a great summer!
